What we say:

At A Glance:

The Squier Contemporary Jaguar HH in Shoreline Gold is one of the best short scale guitars we've seen in a while. As with other models in the Contemporary Series, it features a number of excellent player friendly appointments including a roasted maple neck and sculpted heel. The real heart of this guitar is its ability to provide a whole range of tones that can cover anything from jangly pop to aggressive rock. A classy metallic finish and black headstock are the icing on the cake and make this guitar look just as good as it sounds and feels.

Features We Love:

Roasted Maple Neck

Rarely found at this price point, the roasted maple neck is certainly a special feature. The roasting process of the wood increases stability and makes for a very reliable and tonally rich neck. It also looks pretty amazing too! We are thoroughly impressed.

Tonal Switching Options

Thanks to a range of switching options, the Squier SQR Atomic humbucking pickups can cover more tonal ground than what you might first expect. With a coil-tap and series/parallel switching on the upper control plate, you can quickly find the right tone for whatever the occasion calls for.

Sculpted Heel

Another asset usually only found on high-end guitars, the sculpted heel provides easy access to the upper frets. The smooth carve is incredibly comfortable and also adds to the overall classy look of the instrument.

Highlights:

  • Packed with features that go well beyond its price tag
  • Quickly switch between many excellent tones
  • Stand-out looks
