D'Addario Planet Waves Acoustic Guitar Quick Release System

This not so much about the product, i purchased this purely for practicality. It's more about the store, the staff and the Ethos. Firstly, employee owned business. You get no flannel and no pretentiousness. You get like minded people who have similar interests with knowledge assisting you. Their (all staff) patience & understanding (in my case) is to be commended. I'm sure this is why they get repeat business which in turn generates a successful business. Next, the service. You can't fault this. Friendly, amiable, nothing is a problem. If there's an issue they'll try their best to resolve it to your satisfaction. Finally, for me personally, as i'm getting to that stage in life :), i used to play guitar years back and was looking to prevent the old grey matter going stale i decided to take it up again. I had no idea what i'd forgotten... The staff at Newcastle listened. Understood i had a limited budget ( have you seen the price of guitars now? Wished i'd kept my old ones :):):) ). They patiently listened and advised. Here i am, slowly (trying to find time between running a business) re-learning, and occasionally calling in for bits & pieces. The staff remember you, and as though you were a new customer find time to talk to you on a social level as well as addressing your needs. This is why i'll always shop here. Thanks.

For me, the DGS15 is one of those small, clever tools that earns its keep. It’s not glamorous, but it makes life easier and protects guitars you don’t want to alter. If you’re the kind of player who values practicality over gimmicks, this is a no-brainer The headstock hang changes the feel slightly. If you’re used to electrics with strap buttons, it takes a minute to adjust. • It’s not flashy — just functional nylon and plastic. But honestly, that’s part of the charm.

On purchase of a new gibson hummingbird, I was given sound and practical advice. I commented on having to fit a strap button to my guitar, then was shown a quick and easy alternative. To fit the quick release mechanism. I have found this to be an effective means of attaching a guitar strap. A simple alternative, cost effective, works perfectly well and does not alter the physical balance of the guitar. Easily removed if not needed, no drilling or fixing and no damage to guitar. Very pleased with product and value for money.
