What we say:
Godin have well and truly cornered the market with forward-thinking instruments like this. Lying somewhere between a classical guitar and a solid body guitar with chambers, the ACS bridges the gap between traditional nylon string guitars and technology-based playing. By this we mean taking advantage of the hexaphonic pickup and 13-pin connector to play the ACS through guitar synths like the Roland GR series. This opens up your sound to include pianos, strings, synths, brass and anything else your imagination can invent!
So, this innovative instrument is made of Maple for the chambered body, Cedar for the top and Mahogany for the neck with luxurious Ebony fingerboard. It has a 25.5" scale length and a super flat 16" radius. This amalgamation of electric and acoustic specs makes for a superbly easy guitar to play and operate.
It's also virtually feedback-free so your plugged-in nylon string tone will hold it's own on even the loudest stages. It comes as no surprise that top players like Roger Waters, Robin Finck of Nine Inch Nails and Ian Thornley of Big Wreck use these Godin models live night after night. If you require top notch nylon tone with synth access and no feedback then this could be finding its way on to your stage too!
