Borrowing from their half-century of experience in making acoustic guitars, Yamaha offer an original design with their L series acoustics that held the traditional with the modern. With a feel that seems pre-played in and a fantastic new Zero Impact pickup and preamp system, the Yamaha L Series are a serious proposition indeed.
This delicious LL16 uses Yamaha's Original Jumbo body size to make a real sonic impact. Slightly bigger than a dreadnought but still eminently manageable, this body shape is a perfect all-rounder that really excels at strummed chordal rhythmic styles. The top is made from solid Spruce which has been treated to Yamaha's A.R.E. process to simulate ageing and 'playing-in' to the wood. The timber then has a more 'mature' sound which improves the sound quality of the guitar significantly. This guitar is all-solid so the back and sides are solid Rosewood, a perfect choice to combine with the Spruce.
The Zero Impact pickup system uses individual Piezo sensors for each string to minimise compromise to the guitar's plugged in tone and make the most of each string's natural dynamic performance. The end result is essentially a more realistic and responsive live sound!
This LL16 is perfect for the player who wants a great quality, all-solid acoustic guitar with a first class plugged in tone.
