The Super Distortion was the pickup that put DiMarzio on the map and this single coil sized version distills all of that cranked-up attitude in a smaller package.
The EQ has been tweaked to account for the probable slanted bridge location it'll be dropped into but this is only to make it sound more like the full sized Super Distortion. The treble has been dialled back a little and the bass pushed forward to give this the big, balanced push that's so recognisable. This comes in White.
Specification
Since the Super Distortion® S will usually be installed in the slanted bridge position of a 25½” scale guitar, we’ve adjusted the specs of the original Super Distortion® humbuckers to compensate. Treble response is smoother, and bass response is tighter. Because of their narrow magnetic fields, dual-blade Strat® replacements are not generally well-known for their splitting ability. However, the Super Distortion® S has a very good single-coil sound in split mode that isn’t brittle or weak.
