What we say:

Music Man's Sterling SUB range collects the most beloved models in the Music Man range and offers super-affordable imported editions of them for guitarists on a budget. They have all the visual flair and idiosyncratic vibe of their Californian cousins but at a far more wallet friendly price.

This Ray 4 bass is based on the famous Stingray bass, used by the likes of Flea and U2's Adam Clayton. It's a supremely versatile design which is quickly approaching Classic Shape status.

Rocking a particularly Post-Punk late-70s look with its black on Walnut body, the Ray 4 is ready to go with it's powerful humbucking pickup and active electronics. This includes a 2-way active EQ section with 2 control knobs: one each to cut/boost the treble and bass along with an additional master volume knob too.

Other great features include a basswood body, 12" radius fretboard and a heavy-mass bridge. Value for money is off the scale with this high-performance bass.

Customer reviews

Overall Rating 4.5/5 (2 reviews)

Great bass for the money. Punches way above its weight.

Paul J. - 18/10/2020

Only very slight issue was it didn?t come in a gig bag but I realise that is reflected in the cost of the bass
