These pickups were chosen to complement the natural sound of the hollowbody, giving plenty of sustain and power. Whether you prefer a smooth clean sound or a gritty snarl, these can cover a lot of ground.

Trestle Bracing

Since this guitar is fully-hollow, the trestle bracing couples the neck and tail block. This adds the support needed not only for its construction but also contributes to the unique tonal character it produces.

Laminate Construction

Collings spent a long time examining and figuring out exactly what thickness, grain orientation and wood choices would create the best balance between weight, response and tone. The results here speak for themselves.
