What we say:

At A Glance:

The ESP LTD H-1007FM See-Thru Black is one of ESP's highest spec LTD instruments. Featuring impressively accurate and close to detail specs that many higher priced Japanese and US made instruments have. The double cut, 25.5" scale length styling clearly takes inspiration from a classic designs, but it's the refinements that are where ESP really shine. The flattened neck radius with 24 frets, sleek Macassar ebony fingerboard and thin U neck profile help it to play like a dream across all 7 strings. The mahogany body and maple top combination handles all of the bite and attack needed, but with a prominent mid range to thicken up your tone. The H-1007FM also comes with high end appointments such as Grover tuners and direct-mounted Seymour Duncan Pickups.

Features We Love:

Seymour Duncan Pickups

The Alnico V Pegasus bridge and Sentient neck humbuckers are a great combination for metal players. They may be medium output, but the articulation and aggression is very clear and won't muddy when using more and more gain. For less aggressive tones, the push/pull coil split opens up a range of classic spanky tones.

Macassar Ebony Fretboard

Usually found on very high end instruments, Macassar Ebony has a lovely colour variation that can move from jet black to dark smoky brown. Ebony typically adds a bright attack which is very welcome on an extended range instrument like this. You'll find that with this premium board under your fingers you'll just want to keep playing hour after hour!

Slim, Comfortable Neck

The H1007FM's thin U shape neck is slim, but doesn't leave you looking for more to grasp. Somewhat of a classic feature to ESP guitars, it will satisfy both the guitarist new to the brand or someone who is well accustomed to the sleek neck shape.

Highlights:

  • Ebony fingerboard that looks great with the black hardware and will give bite and high end clarity to your playing
  • Hipshot Bridge with string through body design anchor the strings in for greater tone transfer
  • Set-thru construction for increased sustain and resonance
