What we say:

Matching the skill and experience of Music Man's artisans with the exacting requirements and innovations of modern Prog-Metal's most celebrated guitarist - Dream Theater's John Petrucci - Ernie Ball Music Man have delivered something truly other-worldly and original with the Majesty 7.

This guitar is built especially to allow Petrucci to dream freely and turn those visions into musical flights of wonder. There is nothing he cannot achieve on his Majesty guitars, such is the quality of design, workmanship and feel that this instrument has.

Built in San Luis Obispo, California, each Majesty guitar is built to exhaustive specifications to ensure that John Petrucci himself could walk into a store like ours, pick one up and head straight to the gig without a problem.

Starting with a Basswood body, the Majesty 7 has a Maple top and a Honduran Mahogany through-neck. This has a 17" radius Ebony fretboard housing 24 medium-jumbo stainless steel frets. It also has custom JP shield inlays and the headstock holds a brace of Schaller locking tuners.

As ever, Petrucci has stuck with DiMarzio to produce another set of signature pickups: Illuminators. These ceramic units are, in John's own words "tight, expressive + liquid": which seems like a perfect summation of things to us! There is more going on under the hood too: there's a switchable active gain boost AND a piezo pickup for glassy quasi-acoustic tones, which are blend-able with the magnetic pickups. This allows a wealth of great tones to pour from the guitar with ease. The low B string in particular is clear and present, not muddy.

This magnificent instrument is a high watermark for Ernie Ball Music Man. Available in a selection of fantastic finishes, this particular one is in Glacial Frost.

For guitarists who don't want restrictions, the Majesty 7 will allow you to spread your wings and fly.
