What we say:

At A Glance:

Fingerstyle players rejoice! The Atkin L Series Forty Seven was made just for you! This small bodied, slope-shouldered acoustic is an exceptional player, made with Atkin's usual attention to detail and high quality. It's a thing of beauty and has an exceptional voice that impresses with it's low-end response.

Features We Love:

Scalloped Bracing

Smaller guitars do not need to sound small! Aktin prove this by employing scalloped bracing within the guitar's body to make the most of the bass frequencies. The resulting tone is balanced and full of energy.

Comfortable C-shape neck

Acoustic aficionados will know that many 'heritage' acoustics have enormous necks. Atkin have wisely sidestepped this factor in favour of a beautifully playable C-profile neck. We applaud this, since it makes this guitar infinitely more 'pick-uppable'!

Torrefied Top

Atkin use a torrefied Sitka Spruce top to age the sound of the Forty Seven. Torrefaction is a way of using heat to remove moisture form the wood, thereby simulating decades and decades of life. The resulting tone is clear, distinct and pretty stunning.

Highlights:

  • Great woods
  • Sensible design
  • Amazing playability
  • Tons of charm.

Customer reviews

Overall Rating 5/5 (1 reviews)

Excellent craftsmanship on these British made acoustic guitars from Atkin. The guitar I bought is the LG47 and it’s full of vibe and character, and easy to get a variety of tones from either fingerstyle or with a pick. The neck is super straight with low action, yet no rattle or buzz anywhere up and down the neck. Couldn’t be happier with this guitar!
