Seismic shocks were sent out through the guitar industry when top-end bespoke builder George Lowden teamed up with megastar Ed Sheeran to produce a fresh new line of acoustic guitars. This powerhouse team have made a series that build on Sheeran’s love for smaller bodied guitars and introduces Lowden to an entirely new market altogether.

This guitars in this range all feature solid tops, layered back and sides and an overall design that brings the distinctive curves of Lowden’s high end models readily to mind. There are two overall body shapes, designated either as ’S’ (slightly larger) or ‘W’ (slightly smaller) with variants therein.

Each of these guitars is made in Ireland, a detail that is most significant when considering the price point: these Sheeran acoustics represent extremely good value for money, especially when you consider the combined pedigree!

The S-04 model has a Spruce top with layered Figured Walnut for the back & sides. Spruce is known for a strong, bright sound and is the most popular tonewood used in making acoustic guitar tops. This ’S’ style model is the larger of the two overall shapes with a body length of 19” and a scale length of 24 4/5”.

A quality LR Baggs Element VTC pickup system is included with this model. This means that the guitar is stage-ready straight out of its gig bag!
