What we say:

At A Glance

The Epiphone Casino Worn Olive Drab is a true star of rock 'n' roll. This best selling archtop design from Epiphone has seen fans since the '60s in the likes of Howlin' Wolf, Keith Richards and The Beatles. This version keeps many of the classic design elements but also does enough to make sure it'll go the distance for anyone picking up this model for the first time. With a thin 5-ply maple hollow body and a pair of P-90 pickups it is one of the most distinctive sounding guitars out there!

Features We Love:

Epiphone PRO P-90 Pickups

A pair of Dogear P-90 pickups do that wonderful thing that only P-90 pickups can do! You get that special sound with the bite that cuts through live and in a mix extremely well.

Graph Tech NuBone Nut

While the Casino might be a classic design, Epiphone certainly hasn't left it in the past! The inclusion of this nut keeps it up to date for the contemporary player without losing out on its classic appeal.

Diamond Trapeze Tailpiece

One very distinctive feature on a visual level is the Diamond Trapeze Tailpiece. Working in conjunction with the LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge, it provides great string stability and definitely brings forth a unique and wonderful distinction to the sound.

Who Is It For?

If you've ever thought about owning a semi-hollow archtop guitar then this offers some of the best features around within this price bracket.

Highlights:

  • A classic design favoured by many pros
  • Distinctive sound from the body and pickups
  • Especially good for blues and rock styles

Cracking guitar for the price. Looks like a Casino, sounds like a Casino. Just playing it as much as I can to let it settle down. I'm not thinking of any adjustments yet. Its set up pretty well. Really fun and playable. Great tones and crunch with a nice bit of feedback when needed. Play a load of Weller and Small Faces tracks with this and it sounds like it should. Love it .

A terrific guitar that costs very little. The sound is very rich, it plays beautifully and looks terrific. Mine was pretty much perfect out of the box...ok the strings are a bit heavy for me but who cares. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to bring out their inner John Lennon.

The epiphone casino is a classic look and sound, and the worn olive drab looks killer on this particular model. The sounds are absolutely above and beyond what you would expect from a £400 guitar, and the fit and finish of the guitar is also exemplary. I am a professional musician and have used multiple guitars in my time, but this is possibly my favorite. It has charm and a “go on, play me” feel to it that makes it hard to put down! Thank you to GuitarGuitar for their excellent customer service. Would recommend this guitar and also this company! Thank you!

Have to say for the price I’m amazed how good this guitar is ! Out of the box it played well , I’ve set it up and it’s fantastic , all the pots are CTS and work as you would expect, the switch and jack socket seem to be the same as Gibson use now ! And work fine I’ve filed the fret ends, they weren’t bad I have to say, it didn’t take much really . The pickups are ok I quite like them to be honest, they are quite hot and have the normal feedback but there’re ok (Epiphone pro p90s ) and can be controlled by the volume and pots . Love the colour and feel especially the neck which is comfortable . I added a B7 Bigsby . So yeh great guitar but one !

Purchased this for the P90 pickups (they bite!), and the '60s looks. The body and controls feel reassuringly solid. The upper fret access is limited, but I have other guitars for that. Plays, sounds, and feels more expensive than it is.

Quick delivery safe and sound very pleased good guitar

Despite owning USA made guitars of a much higher price range. This guitar really does feel and play much above its price bracket. The neck has a slimish d profile neck that feels comfortable in the hand and the none gloss finish feels a treat to the touch

Good sound vaual for money

Stephen P. - 17/12/2023

Casinos are great, ready to play straight out of the box. The worn olive drab paint is cool too

Gary B. - 17/12/2023

Purchasing a guitar at this price I needed to slightly lower my expectations. The colour and finish is fabulous and the main reason for the purchase. However, the only criticism would be the setup out of the box, a very dry fingerboard and fret ends that are a not quite as smooth and rounded as you would hope for. This is something which I can easily rectify. The pickups are perhaps not as good as those found on more expensive models, but again that would be expected. Overall this guitar is really excellent value for money and a great purchase. The potential is there to be able to swap out pickups and pots in a smart, well constructed guitar. Finally, would've been nice to have a gig bag, but I felt that it merited an HSC anyway. For the price this was amazing !!

My only disappointment was the rough finish to the frets, but fixed this myself. Otherwise, love the guitar.

Excellent guitar....never knew I wanted one until I saw it going at a great price. Very light, lovely tone and, despite being a larger guitar than I;m used to, nicely playable

After trying a semi-hollow and enjoying the experience (HB 35), this fully hollow Epi made it's presence known and I took the bait... A very nice thing it is too! You're not buying this thing for a pristine finish - you can see the wood grain on the body neck and headstock - but that is part of the charm... It was setup very nice out of the box - action maybe a tad low for me but very playable. The hollow acoustic quality makes it great to play unplugged useful for practice and writing. The p90s sound fab, has already inspired me to start recording... Have had some issues in the past with QC from Epi but nothing jumps out on this one setup is good finish is good, binding is tidy - frets maybe a little rough but that has mostly played out in the first few days.
