What we say:

At A Glance:

The EastCoast T1 is EastCoast's superb version of the one of the classic electric guitar designs. This style of guitar has a legacy going all the way back to the 1950's, famed for its use in country and blues, but equally at home in a whole range of genres.

The T1 boasts a lightweight Poplar body, a pair of twangy singlecoil pickups and a reliable, vintage style 3-saddle hardtail bridge. This guitar is comfortable and easy to play.

Features We Love:

Poplar Body

As a body wood, Poplar is tonally similar to Alder, the classic body wood for an T type guitar, with the added bonus of being very lightweight!

Pickups

Rigged with a pair of singlecoil pickups and a 3 way switch, this guitar can sing and twang along with the best of 'em! The bridge position has loads of brightness and bite that makes it great for classic country licks, while the warm, rounded neck pickup is great for smooth chord work and singing leads and solos.

3-Saddle Hardtail Bridge

The 3-Saddle hardtail bridge is the classic design for this style of guitar, transferring loads of tone to the body and making your guitar sing.

Highlights:

  • Classic looks, classic style
  • High quality singlecoil pickups
  • Dependable 3-Saddle Hardtail Bridge
  • Lightweight Poplar body

Not just an excellent value guitar but a genuinely very good guitar. Playable straight out the box.

Really happy with the feel and sound for the price.

At the price point (I bought the Eastcoast T1 for £80) I can't fault it. Flawless finish, rosewood fretboard, good sounding pickups, low buzz-free action - and even the strings fitted were absolutely fine. I just needed to oil the fretboard a little. Don't be put off by the three saddle bridge, as it adds an extra Telecaster-style twang. Once I tuned it up I found the guitar was even intonated! I would absolutely recommend this guitar for a beginner or intermediate player. Service from GuitarGuitar was perfect. The T1 arrived quickly and was well-packaged. Delighted with the guitar and service from GuitarGuitar.

Bought this guitar as it was identical to the first one i was given as a xmas present in 1972 and spotted it as i don't have an electric telecaster , reviewed all articles and videos and for the price i have been pleasantly surprised and bought the Strat also and as i dont have a Les Paul i am considering the East Coast L1 as the quality of the guitars are excellent . Acoustic Guitars has been my thing and i will be starting with East Coast and working my way up with getting used to these ones . Great value and quality and they look and feel good also. out the box good set up and it was recommended on line to change the strings and bought a 3 pack but have not felt they need replaced as yet.

Chris G. - 25/10/2025

A great guitar bought with the intention of leaving it in Ireland , but couldn’t part with it , it’s too good .

Unbelievable for the price.

Superb guitar, lovely cream colour and well set up on delivery. Really good value for money, I've had a Squier Bullet & Squier Affinity Tele and the Eastcoast is as good as the Affinity, only £100 cheaper. The neck on this guitar is identical to the Affinity neck so maybe from the same factory. Pick ups are good, tuning is stable, and guitar plays really well. Superb for beginners and those, like me, who don't want an expensive guitar in the living room. This won't be my last Eastcoast purchase. Very Impressed.

I can’t fault this Guitar . Apart from the weight , I can’t see hardly any difference from my Ron Wood signature which cost five times more . Anyone wanting too learn Guitar would struggle to find a better Guitar in this price range . My Guitar was well set up , just check the Tuners on the Headstock are tight , a few of mine were loose .
