Paul Gagon, VP of Engineering at G&L shares in this same passion and has helped to make this bass really stand out from others. Its pickups would be at home on a bass at three times the price and they make it an excellent choice for almost any style of music.

Bolt-On Construction
With 6 screws securing the neck to the body, the Tribute JB-2 has a seriously reliable construction. It also helps with resonance and gives that classic look and feel that bassists across all genres love.
G&L Pickups
Armed with a pair of G&L Alnico single coil pickups, the Tribute JB-2 have a very strong 60's influence on their sound. From looking at original prints that belonged to Leo Fender, Paul Gagon was able to instill some of that magic into the tones of these pickups. With heaps of clarity and low end sustain, you'll be impressed by how much these can do.
G&L Saddle Lock Bridge
The Saddle-Lock Bridge is another fantastic Leo Fender innovation, featuring a set of small screws at either side of the bridge for secure anchoring, this cultivates the string resonance as one single mass and directs the energy into the grain of the wood. This not only improves the overall tone of the JB-2 but really lets those lower bass notes come through with power.
