Fairfield Circuitry The Barbershop Overdrive

Incredible. I've searched for this type of overdrive for so long. Warm, beautiful cleans (adds magic, like how a Klon does but way more neutral and less honky) through to Tweedy/Supro tones, and it can get pretty wild too if you want. There's even an internal gain trim which can be cranked for more drive, and you can stick a boost/overdrive in front for a bit of Fuzz-like chaos. Plays well with others. I like the KoT boost side before it to roll off some lows. Lovely stuff. Take time to play with the Drive and Sag controls. They interact with each other and can really alter the sound. Loads of tones in this thing. Sag hard left and Volume cranked for some Fuzzy / knackered amp sounds. Thought I might miss a tone knob. I don't. The switch is very well done. The Left position rolls off highs in a nice way for more moody/Bluesy stuff, Middle is clean but not harsh, Right takes off some upper highs in a very tasteful way. They definitely put some thought into the Tone options. Very well built, lovely design. My favourite overdrive to date, and we all know how many there are to choose from!
