The JX-08 sound module by Roland expands on the acclaimed Boutique series. Paying tribute to the legendary JX-8P synthesizer, JX-08 is host to authentic presets straight out of the original JX-8P, yet brings a more hands on approach to tweaking sounds. JX-08 also adds a powerful two part 64 step polyphonic sequencer, an arpeggiator and built in effects.
If you're after authentic hybrid synth sounds from the mid 1980s, this is the synth for you!

Boutique
The Boutique series was launched a few years ago to pay tribute to the classic Roland synthesizers and drum machines that are still in demand and used on recordings to this day. Using innovative circuit modelling technology, the Boutique series captures the sound and subtle characteristics of each piece of equipment to truly offer you the essence a legendary synth and a compact and fun format.
JX-8P
The JX-8P progressed the JX series to offer powerful new possibilities. Its innovative hybrid synthesis brought the classic Roland analog sound into the middle of the 80s and offered a velocity sensitive keyboard with aftertouch. Although it sounded fantastic, JX-8P was let down slightly, but requiring a controller module to efficiently edit sounds. Luckily, the JX-08 reinstates the hands on approach to tweaking your sounds.
Multitimbral
JX-08 is two part multitimbral which gives you the ability to generate two sounds simultaneously. This is great for playing over a sequenced part or for controlling the synth using more than one keyboard.
Sequencer
The two part 64-step polyphonic sequencer takes advantage of the JX-08's multitimbrality to bring exceptional sequencing power for such a small synth.
K-25-M Keyboard
JX-08 is compatible with the proprietary K-25-M Boutique keyboard. Each Boutique synth can slot straight into the keyboard and used like a stand alone synth without any cables.
Built-In Interface
The built-in audio and MIDI USB interface makes using the JX-08 with your computer and music software extremely easy.
