What we say:

At A Glance

The Gretsch G5420T Electromatic Classic Single-Cut Orange updates their Electromatic range in style. It features the classic Gretsch look that we all love but with some refined player-friendly tweaks. If you want an f-hole design with bucket loads of tone and a comfortable feel then you can't go wrong here! With a Bigsby vibrato on hand, all of those smooth sounding chord passages and lead lines are always within grasp.

Features We Love:

Hollow Body Sound

Get ready for a sound unlike any other. The body has been constructed of laminated maple and features a refined arched top as well as the new addition of trestle block bracing, making it possible to push that gain a little further without getting feedback.

Classic "C" Shaped Neck

Another new feature from Gretsch, this incredibly comfortable neck shape will allow you to play for hours on end without suffering any hand fatigue. Get ready for that extra encore!

Filter'Tron Pickups

Up among the classic tones is the sound of a Gretsch with a Filter'Tron. These humbucking pickups explode with punch, clarity, and presence, to bring you that unmistakable Gretsch sound.

Who Is It For?

This is for the guitarist who loves a traditional look but wants something a bit more contemporary feeling. The pickups can do a number of styles, so whether it is Rockabilly or Jazz, you'll have a good dependable instrument to play it on.

Highlights:

  • Especially good for higher volume live use thanks to the new bracing design
  • Excellent range of sounds
  • Classic Gretsch looks

Customer reviews

Overall Rating 5/5 (5 reviews)

Truly amazing quality and finish along with the unmistakable Gretsch sound and so playable straight out of the box. Only the minimum of setup tweek needed to suit my personal taste. I used to have a Japanese White Falcon a few years ago but unfortunate circumstances meant I had to let it go with great regret. I still have a few quality guitars but always missed my Gretsch and without doubt, this new 5420T intraditional Gretsch Orange has without doubt ticked off every box for me. Just cant believe how good a guitar this is especially for the price. Thank you GuitarGuitar for both the fantastic service and also suplying yet another great deal and guitar. Thankyou :)

The Gretsch is a Beautiful Guitar. Its not a beginners guitar there are Guitars out there that are easier to play. I love mine. I learn my pieces on an Epiphone Dot. Then transfer what i learn to the Gretsch. Pros Beautiful Guitar + Beautiful sound Cons. The guitar unnelectrified is very loud. If you have neighbours beside or below you. You have to have your amp turned up. To distinguish the sound From the guitar and the sound from the Amp. To strike this balance is fairly Tricky.
