What we say:

At A Glance

The Gibson Lzzy Hale Signature Explorerbird Cardinal Red is all about big riffs and head-turning style. Known for her outstanding music in Halestorm, Lzzy was deservedly recognised by Gibson and is their first female brand ambassador. As you'd probably expect, this Signature Explorerbird is fitting with her love of the Explorer shape but it puts a new spin on an old classic. Crafted to the usual high standards you'd expect from Gibson, this is a mean riffing machine that can fully support your onstage performance.

Features We Love:

70s Tribute Humbuckers

Since this guitar has been designed for hard rock and metal, these pickups do a great job of delivering huge tonal power thanks to the high output they provide.

Gold Hardware

So gold coloured tuners and bridge/tailpiece are cool but nothing new. Gold frets, acrylic inlays, screws, and pickup screws/rods though... that certainly takes the lavish looks to a whole new level!

Half Explorer, Half Firebird

As the name implies, this guitar is a blend of two iconic Gibson models. It has the body of an Explorer but the headstock of a non-reverse Firebird. It doesn't get much cooler than that!

Who Is It For?

Fans of Halestorm and Lzzy will likely want to add this to their collection but it is also a hard-rocking metal machine in its own right.

Highlights:

  • A signature model with plenty of attitude
  • Excellent for heavy styles of music
  • Usual high quality you'd expect from one of the biggest guitar brands around

Customer reviews

Overall Rating 5/5 (1 reviews)

Great sounding guitar for rock tones. Nice comfortable neck profile. Slightly more expensive than a standard explorer probably because it's a signature model and the unique appearance (gold coloured hardware, pickup pole pieces, and Firebird headstock). For sound, playability, and comfort would be equally happy with a standard explorer
