What we say:

At A Glance:

The Gibson J-185 was originally released in 1951 and quickly became one of the most fabled Gibsons of all time. Designed to be slightly smaller than the SJ-200, the J-185 borrows styling tips from it's bigger relative.

The Custom Historic 1952 J-185 is made better with thermally aged sitka spruce top and a beautiful flame maple back and sides.

Adorning iconic Maltese crosses inlaid in mother-of-pearl on the open slot bridge, this guitar is a rarity for sure, highly desired by artists and performers the world over.

Features We Love:

Body Size

Slightly smaller than the SJ-200, the J-185 is a fantastic size for most genres. Capable of handling aggressive strumming or delicate picking, this guitar is a genre defying machine.

Quality Tonewoods

This Custom Historic 1952 J-185 is enhanced by the use of Thermally Aged sitka spruce top and flame maple back and sides, a great soundboard for your guitar to resonate from. With the use of these great quality woods, you can be sure that this guitar will sing loud and clear whenever you pick it up.

Highlights:

  • If the SJ-200 is slightly too big for you, then this guitar will be the perfect size
  • Quality materials ensure the guitar always feels and sounds fantastic!
