Korina Tonewood
Korina (or Limba) is a relatively uncommon tonewood, that shares a lot of tonal properties to Mahogany. In the mid 50's Gibson were looking for a unique looking tonewood for their now legendary 1958 Explorer, and the attractive looking Korina wood was an easy choice. This amazing recreation stays true to the original by utilizing this amazing tonewood.
Outstanding Tone
Not just rocking a stunning appearance, the Korina Explorer is also kitted out with fantastic electronics. Featuring a set of Gibson Burstbucker humbuckers this guitar has a fantastic, well-rounded tone that has to be heard to be believed.
