Generally, very pleased with the Line 6 Pod Express. It does a fair amount for not much money (£130), though it had been on my list for a while and I would still have been happy with it at the launch price and even without the editing apps. WARNING: This is only the second multi-effects guitar pedal I've bought since a Korg G3 in 1993, so I might be impressed by relatively little by 2025 standards. It has a good range of different styles of effect - a slight criticism is that the cab simulations have very different effects on different drive/amp settings; some sounds are impossible to achieve without a particular cab, whereas others can't be achieved without switching the cabs off. Lots of the drive/distortion effects and amp drives end up sounding a bit clanging/clashing/brash to my ears, even trying to limit the presence/treble. The fuzz is a little bit twitchy about what sort of incoming sounds it's prepared to make fuzzy noises from. The sound is very inconsistent even between neighbouring octaves. It works well as an interface, at least with Cakewalk by Bandlab, which is all I have at the moment. The latency is low enough to be unnoticeable and by decoupling the headphone volume dial from the overall unit volume through the app, the input levels can be set correctly but with the headphone volume set comfortably lower. The editor app can be run simultaneously with a DAW using the unit as an interface.

Excellent value - maybe just don't jump on it. In the sale at £139 a steal! Editor is easy... Sounds are pretty decent in the style of Helix Using it for a spare in case of my Helix exploding and into a Beat Buddy for quick start fun:)
