Customer reviews

Overall Rating 5/5 (2 reviews)

Very happy with the delivery process, was quick and the guitar was packaged very safely. The condition of the guitar was good and the guitar itself is pretty amazing for me. I've only played on either single coil or humbucker passive pickups before, quite impressed by the qualities of active pickups and the coil split feature on Fishman Fluence pickups is super convenient. I imagine I'm more likely to use it for clean playing than overdriven sounds though. This is also my first time using a multi scale guitar neck and it seems as though I'm going to need to experiment a bit with string gauges before I find a set that works well for my playing style. The neck itself feels quite intuitive and ergonomic, but the variable scale length does make it a bit harder to judge what's going to work best with string thickness. It does seem as though the included 10-59 set isn't nearly thick enough on the low end for B standard, very little tuning stability on the 7th string with the stock setup. Overall the quality of the guitar seems great so I'm sure it's just a matter of time before I find the right setup for me. Drop A djenting here I come :-D The pale moon ebony finish on the body looks very unique and I really appreciate it. Looks a bit darker than the photos but still really cool. Was a little disappointed that the fretboard finish doesn't look like the photos with all that variation in the wood grain/colour, looks more like a normal uniform grain/colour fretboard. Not a big enough deal to deduct points though as the fretboard feels great to play, seems as though the strings are spaced a bit more tightly than other 7 strings I've played which makes it easier to sweep and do legato runs. Almost feels like a slightly thicker 6 string neck to play. I will probably need time get used to the extra scale length on the low end of the neck for more complex chords, but it's less uncomfortable than I thought it would be. A couple of small things I've noticed is that the tone pot seems to be sitting a bit further off the body than the volume pot in its pushed down position. I'll probably be able to adjust this so it's not the end of the world, but it also seems like a pretty obvious QC oversight that could've easily been fixed in the factory. Also it sounds as though there is a loose screw rattling around inside the pickup cavity. I only noticed that recently so it could be something that happened during/after shipping.

Absolutely incredible guitar, it's my first 7 string and it's an absolute game changer, the pickups are fantastic and well worth the price alone, the build quality is strong, the setup is fantastic, beautiful body not too light, not too heavy. The sound is crisp, clear, and amazing, the extra low end is perfect for my style. The different voices from the coil split are amazing, there's so much tonality I would highly recommend this guitar and think you'd be hard pushed to find anything better for the same price. An absolute sleeper.
