The Fender Custom Shop 1956 Esquire® Relic® embodies the raw, pioneering spirit of Fender's first solid-body electric guitar. Finished in Nitrocellulose Lacquer, this masterfully crafted instrument features a lightweight, resonant two-piece select ash body paired with a one-piece quartersawn maple neck and fingerboard.
The Custom Shop Hand-Wound '55-'56 single-coil Tele® bridge pickup, delivers the iconic cutting twang and muscular punch that made the Esquire® legendary. The traditional 3-position switching system offers three distinct voices: straight-to-output jack for maximum bite, pickup with volume control for versatility, and pickup with both volume and tone controls for fuller, rounder tones.
