PRS Tekton Floyd Hot Pink

What we say:

At A Glance:

The PRS Tekton is an exciting brand-new series of guitars from PRS. They are named after the ancient Greek word for "artisan" or "craftsman", specifically a carpenter or woodworker. Tekton reflects the philosophy behind this guitar: combining thoughtful craftsmanship with modern performance.

PRS's goal was to provide a contemporary guitar to serve the most technical of players' needs, and they delivered. With Tekton, they want to point towards the future whilst respecting the past. Focused on refinement and consistency, they have produced a high-performance, ergonomic, precise guitar for modern musicians.

The outcome is a PRS with a streamlined body, new finishes, stainless steel frets, a new neck carve, simplified dot inlays with Luminlay side dots, and new Stylus pickups. Welcome to the Tekton family.

Features We Love:

Stylus Pickups

Purpose-built for the Tekton models are the all-new Alnico 5 Stylus pickups. These pickups deliver exceptional sound that works just as well with traditional valve amps or with today's digital rigs. The dynamics of these pickups are impressive, providing aggressive, driven sounds while keeping note clarity. This allows for powerful, clear tones in every position: on their own, as a humbucker, or split. Responsive and full of character, the Stylus pickups are ready for anything.

Ergonomic Body

The lightweight body shape combines refined ergonomics with comfortable playability. Featuring a cozy belly carve and an exaggerated scoop, the new refinements add quick, easy access to the upper frets so soloing feels like a breeze. It can be physically challenging to perform for hours on stage or in extended studio sessions, but the Tekton's lightweight body takes the load off with PRS's thinnest body shape and neck yet. Also, an updated 25.5" scale length, which is a little longer than a custom 24, benefits intonation if you tune down while playing.

Modern "D" Neck

The PRS Tekton's design process has provided a new Modern "D" neck profile to the series, along with a 16" fretboard radius. A Fast, smooth, and flatter fingerboard for effortless play. Along the fingerboard are new simple offset dot inlays. These are paired with Luminlay side dots, adding to the ease of playability; You will always know where you are on the neck. The new thin neck gains extra stability from Hormigo strength rods, similar to Carbon Fiber, providing more strength, rigidity, and even making for a more resonant instrument.
