What we say:
At A Glance
This Gibson Custom Shop flagship model dates all the way back to 1954. The Custom was designed by Les Paul to be the "tuxedo" version of the classic. It looks every bit as good now as it did then but has been given some player friendly upgrades along the way. Kitted out with all you need to play and sound at your best, this is still one of the all-time standout instruments. This model has found its way into a number of styles; from jazz to metal, this is a guitar that belongs wherever you want it to.
Features We Love:
The "Tuxedo"
Everything about this guitar just oozes class and sophistication. The iconic headstock inlay, intricate binding, the block inlays on the ebony fingerboard... It is all there in full style. The gold hardware is the icing on the cake and completes the classic look that we all know and love.
Pickups
The 490/498 set pack all you need under the hood for this guitar to sound as good as it looks. Taking this guitar all the way from smooth jazz leads to biting rock riffs, they are incredibly versatile and have a great level of clarity. If you are looking for a guitar that can do it all then look no further!
Solid Woods
The neck is made from solid mahogany and the fingerboard is solid ebony - this means unbelievable amounts of sustain! Partner this with the 1 piece mahogany body and 2 piece maple top and your notes will sing for a very long time!
Highlights:
- The flagship Custom "Tuxedo" model
- Will be at home in any style of music
- Gibson Custom Shop level of quality
