The flagship model of the Gibson Custom Shop, The Les Paul Custom is the premier guitar of premier guitars. Elegant and stylish the Gibson Les Paul Custom pulls no punches when it comes to it's looks or its sound.
Building on the basic design of the Les Paul Standard, the Custom adds numerous visual details. These include block inlays, gold hardware, multiple-ply binding and a 'split-diamond' inlay on the enlarged headstock. This look is known as the 'tuxedo' look. This is partly because it is a Gibson Les Paul 'dressed to impress'. It is also because the guitar stood out from the masses of tuxedo-clad musicians on the black and white television shows of the 1950s!

Body: 3 out of 5 - Instrument has been used and shows evidence of its life in the forms of checking, chips and other superficial wear and tear. Metal parts and hardware may be mildly tarnished or stained and cosmetically imperfect.
Neck: 3 out of 5 - The frets have mild wear and/or pitting and may require profiling or replacement in future if the guitar is played extensively, although this work is not required immediately and the guitar plays and frets cleanly at present.
Additional Information: Original pots, original frets, original hardware and T-Top Pickups that have had their covers removed.
This guitar has been restrung with Dunlop Strings
