Buying, trading and selling second hand guitars and other musical instruments is something we do a lot of at guitarguitar. Every store accepts trade-ins so whether you want to trade an unwanted piece of equipment, sell it outright or maybe you just want to find a pre-owned bargain, we can help. The pre-owned section of the website is always an interesting Aladdin's cave of used guitars, amps and pedals, as well as other second hand instruments and electronics. Second hand items are added daily and you can find some real gems in there from time to time. But be quick, they don't stick around for long!

Absolutely. Every used guitar, bass, folk instrument, pedal and amplifier we take in is thoroughly checked, cleaned and tested. Any marks, dings and scratches will be noted and accurately included in the item's online description. You will know exactly what you are buying.
Question: Can I trade in a number of guitars against a new guitar?
Yes, absolutely! We can take any number of guitars, amps and pedals as trade-in against whatever you wish to purchase. The value of each trade-in will remain the same regardless.

Yes, every one of our stores sells pre-owned guitars and also accepts trade-ins.
Question: What is the warranty on pre-owned items?
We offer a 12 month warranty on our pre-owned instruments. Other items such as electronics come with a 90 day warranty.
