This handsome semi-acoustic from Ibanez is part of their Artcore brand. Ibanez Artcore guitars are credible and sensible choice for players on a budget looking for a good quality and well finished hollowbody instrument. They are affordable but they aren't 'cheap' versions of more expensive models: they are their own range with their own feel, vibe and sound and that add a lot to the integrity of the Ibanez brand.
This AS73 in Tobacco Brown is an excellent and stylish take on the classic double cut semi-hollow thinline. We particularly love the application of the translucent brown finish over the grain of the Maple with cream body, f-hole, fingerboard and headstock binding providing a strikingly beautiful contrast. Large block fingerboard inlays increase the classic blues-rock look even further!
A pair of covered Classic Elite humbuckers (which are surprisingly ceramic) lend a throaty, rocky voice to this semi though it should be noted that clean neck position sounds are particularly jazzy sounding. A great selection of tones make this a decidedly versatile axe.
We think the value for money on display here is exemplary: this gig-ready instrument has a plethora of sounds, an easy feel and a great look: plenty to love, in other words.
