What we say:Cole Clark guitars, made in Melbourne, Australia since 2001, make modern acoustic guitars using mostly native Australian woods. They are an innovative company, using techniques like incorporating a 'Spanish Heel' or 'integral neck construction' to effectively make the neck, top and back & sides all effectively one piece. This adds significantly to resonance and rich harmonic overtones.
They have also created one of the greatest acoustic guitar pickup systems in existence. The Natural Pickup is in fact a complex blend of 6 piezos, a sensor and a condensor microphone, all built into different parts of the guitar and all reacting to completely different frequencies. Each element contributes it's part and the overall effect is magnificent.
Such a pickup is built into this Fat Lady 2 guitar. The Fat Lady 2 is an all-solid wood dreadnought electro acoustic made entirely out of Blackwood. Australian Blackwood is a luxurious looking dark coloured tonewood similar to Koa (it's a cousin) and found exclusively in Tasmania and Victoria. With Blackwood, you get lots of prominent mids and lower mids with good punch and high frequency definition. It's obviously a beautiful wood to look at too, displaying lots of variation in colour.
