The Lowden guitar is the result of unique design, workmanship and assembly techniques along with their choice of woods. Curvy, smooth soundbox shapes combined with carefully voiced internal bracing and soundbox profiles, natural wood decorations with their unique hand rubbed satin finish all combine to make the Lowden guitar what it is today!
It is this stringent attention to detail which determines how Lowden guitars sound, feel, and play. Today more than ever, Lowden are constantly evaluating their guitars and striving to further adjust the voicing, the feel and the playability. "To make Lowden guitars we need a team of individuals with talent for focus and an eye for detail plus a passionate commitment to no compromise."
"I have re-introduced the 22 model this year, having fond memories of it. First designed in 1976/7 it was sweet and clear - deep and resonant, not at all heavy or muddy even though the O is a jumbo size guitar. Great for strumming and picking alike." - George Lowden
