Customer reviews

Overall Rating 4.8/5 (5 reviews)

Turned up in great condition, playable, good action, almost in tune, but it came in an ibanez box, not a barnes and mullins one. You have to ask the question why? What happened to the correct box? This is my 17th instrument and the only one ever, not to turn up in the right box and corresponding serial number on it.

Item purchased The BM 600 Wimbourne Although it'll take a bit of tuning to get it right, it also needs the bridge completely loosened (and removed) for a) the transport foam to be removed, and b) the sanding down of the bridge. This is my first ever stringed instrument, and I knew nothing of the sanding techniques, but there's some extremely good tutorials on how to do it, if you're confident enough. I just wonder if guitarguitar might incorporate a small charge for people who haven't the confidence to do this. After my foray into being a Luthier ?? the sound quality has vastly improved. Forty five mins after setting up I had one tune under my belt (Cindy) and 36 hours later Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire. Is recognisable Lessons have been organised for Jan 2026. I love this Mandolin. Should I have paid extra for the F.... Or the electric.. No, I don't think so.
