This Schecter C-7 is definitely one for the new crowd of contemporary shredders! A fan fretted multi-scale 7 string is just the thing for technical modern styles.
Based on the familiar ‘C’ body, this Schecter is made with Swamp Ash for the body and a Flamed Maple top, finished in Gloss Natural with black single-ply binding for a timelessly beautiful look.
The construction is thru-neck and the neck itself is an impressive creation of Maple, Walnut and Padauk with reinforcement rods made of Carbon Fibre to ensure absolute stability. The Ebony fingerboard has a 20” radius, ultra flat and has 24 extra jumbo fanned frets. The scale length on the lower sounding strings is 27”, resolving to a standard 25.5” on the lighter strings. This type of design and construction allows extended range guitars to properly intonate across the whole range of notes without compromise. It also lets the fingers naturally align with the frets in a way that reduces hand fatigue and promotes comfort of along periods.
Since this is a cutting edge guitar, Schecter have selected cutting edge pickups to put in it: a set of Fishman Fluence Modern active humbuckers deliver a wealth of top quality tones, both Alnico and Ceramic. Push/pull controls in both the volume and tone knobs allow extra sounds from the Fluences.
