What we say:

At A Glance

The Epiphone Inspired by Gibson ES-339 Pelham Blue is a compact semi-hollow with a gorgeous sound. Being the smaller sibling of the larger ES-335, it is easy to transport and well-suited to smaller guitarists but still benefits from many of the same features that make the ES so lovable. With Epiphone Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers, Grover Rotomatic tuners and a Graph Tech NuBone nut, this has been kitted out with all you need for a truly enjoyable and tonally rich playing experience.

Features We Love:

Epiphone Classic Pro Pickups

Armed with a pair of Epiphone Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers, this is an ideal tonal partnership for the natural sound of the guitar. You can easily benefit from the vast tonal versatility that these guitars are known for.

Graph Tech NuBone Nut

While the ES-339 might be a classic design, Epiphone certainly hasn't left it in the past! The inclusion of this nut keeps it up to date for the contemporary player without losing out on its classic appeal.

Hand-Rolled Neck Profile

The Rounded C neck profile has been hand-rolled to provide superior levels of comfort. You can expect to find yourself playing for much longer than usual thanks to this feature.

Who Is It For?

If you are looking for an ES model but want something more compact and lightweight then the ES-339 is the one for you.

Customer reviews

Overall Rating 5/5 (3 reviews)

I'd never owned a semi-hollow electric before but, seeing some great reviews, I decided to give it a go... very pleased that I did. It's quite a bit heavier than I expected and feels of sturdy construction. The finely speckled, metallic style Pelham Blue finish is immaculate and unflawed. It looks like a guitar from a much higher price bracket. It only got better when I started playing it! Easy string action and nicely set up. The feel of the neck/fingerboard is similar to an acoustic guitar but with electric guitar ease of playing. As I'd expect from the Grover tuners, they are smooth and accurate. I've seen reviews from people who immediately want to change the pickups, but I think the originals sound great. The tone pots give great variation and, as with the volume pots, they are smooth. I really can't think of anything average to say about this guitar. Excellent value for money!

The build quality and finish are excellent. Like Fender player series, but better priced.
