Sigma guitars are a popular brand of affordable acoustic guitars with a long and interesting history. Originally released by C.F Martin in 1970 as a range of guitars that could compete with the affordable imports from Japan and other countries, they became a legendary brand in their own right, renowned for their great quality and affordability. It's fair to say the influence of that previous company from Nazareth, Pennsylvania still looms large. This can be seen in everything from the body shapes to the styling and even the headstock logo. However, the main appeal of Sigma is the chance to own a well made, traditionally styled acoustic guitar for a very good price.
