Tip top

Great fuzz pedal, very versatile

Fabulous pedal. The RRP is far too high for such a simple and well known circuit and although I love the Hendrix paint job we all know that only adds about 5 pence to the manufacturing costs. So wait for special offers! But the pedal sounds fantastic. The Tone control is a welcome edition to the Band of Gypsys fuzz format and the max gain is far higher than any other Dunlop fuzz type - even with modest power pickups gain at about 50% is still more than a fuzz face would have. It does like being first in the chain and as expected it feels like it's missing something when using active pickups or having a buffer in front of it. Put it first and it is spectacular with a variety of amps. It lets the sound of the individual guitar through very nicely whether that is single coils or humbuckers. With low wind humbuckers and an EL84 based amp like a Matchless HC30 or similar it is just amazing. Definitely a favourite and when they are on offer again I might even get a spare.
