At the heart of this reissue is a hand-selected AAA figured maple top, chosen by the Made to Measure team for its exceptional flame and character. It’s paired with a lightweight, solid mahogany body and finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer for a rich, vintage look that will continue to age gracefully. Single-ply binding adds a subtle touch of elegance, while the classic Les Paul silhouette remains unmistakable. 

The neck is carved from mahogany and shaped to the Authentic 1959 profile—comfortable, rounded, and true to the original. A long neck tenon ensures maximum sustain and resonance, while the rosewood fretboard features 22 medium jumbo frets and aged celluloid trapezoid inlays for a period-correct feel. With a 12” radius and 24.75” scale length, it’s built for smooth playabili ty and effortless bends. 

This 1959 reissue is powered by a pair of uncovered Custombucker Alnico 3 pickups with Double Classic White bobbins, delivering the warm, articulate tone that made the ’59 Les Paul famous. From rich cleans to roaring leads, these pickups capture the nuance and depth of vintage Patent Applied For pickups. CTS® potentiometers and a Switchcraft® 3-way toggle provide reliable control, while the gold ABR-1 bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece anchor your tone with classic style. 

Details like gold Top Hat knobs, cream plastic parts, double white pickup bobbins, and a mother-of-pearl Gibson logo inlay on the open-book headstock complete the vintage aesthetic.
