Viewed by many as a highly influential figure in the world of guitars and music, John Lee Hooker is a name that holds a lot of weight to it. Honouring his rare 1961 Zephyr, this model is a faithful replica and a great way of honouring the "King of the Boogie Woogie". His original model was 1 of only 13 produced back in 1961 so to say that this was a special and unique guitar would be a massive understatement. A few modern touches have been added to make the playability as good as possible but overall the vibe is very much still the same as Hooker's main instrument from back in his heyday.

Attention To Detail
All the finer details of this guitar have been looked at and taken into account such as the Pearloid "Split Block" inlays which look fantastic. Another noteworthy example of this would be the Tortoise shell style pickguard which features a foil "E" just like that of the original Zephyrs.

As part of Epiphone's highly regarded ProBucker series, these successfully recreate the classic pickup sound that Epiphone had many years ago. Think beautifully full sounding chords and single notes that cut through with clarity.
