The Alvarez Masterworks series dates back to the beginning of the Alvarez guitars story with the original Japanese Yairi guitars sporting the same Masterworks name. Today the Masterworks line has mostly shifted production from Japan, but still holds true to the signature design and construction methods that make Alvarez guitars so great.

The construction of the Masterworks series is taken from the designs of Master luthier Kazuo Yairi who has helped create the signature sound of Alvarez guitars. Utilising all solid wood construction, a forward shifted X bracing, and a bi-level bridge design, the Masterworks series not only resonates beautifully with every strum but gets better with age.
