About Fender Vintera Jaguar

The Fender Vintera Jaguar captures all the things that make the Jaguar a cult classic. The space-age looks, the strident tone, the compact feel: the Vintera Jaguar has it all!

The Fender Jaguar was launched in 1962 and discontinued in 1975. So, unlike other Vintera models, only the Jaguars of the 1960s are represented in this faithful reproduction. The 60s Vintera Jaguar is packed with period-correct features. They have the original Fender 7.25” radius and small vintage fret wire. The pickups are voiced for that classic low output, bell-like tone we all know and love. These guitars are bright and clear and, with their matching headstocks, ooze vintage style.

The Fender Vintera Jaguar also comes in a 60s Modified variant. This is a nod to the humbucker-equipped Jaguar Kurt Cobain rocked in the 90s. These Fender Atomic Humbuckers are among the hottest pickups Fender make. The Fender Vintera Jaguar 60s Modified have slimmer necks, a flatter 9.5” radius, and bigger medium-jumbo frets. This makes them much easier to play than the vintage spec. These are modern guitars for the aggressive player.

Our Fender Vintera Jaguar guitars come included with a guitar bag.

Frequently Asked Questions about Fender Vintera Jaguar

Question: What's the difference between a Vintera Jaguar and a Vintera Jazzmaster?
There are many differences between the Vintera Jaguar and the Vintera Jazzmaster. The two most important differences are the scale length and the pickups. The Jaguar has a short scale length of only 24”. This means that the Jaguar is very comfortable to play and the string tension is quite soft. The Jazzmaster has a longer scale length of 25.5”. This means the Jazzmaster has more sustain. Jazzmaster pickups are full and rich sounding whereas Jaguar pickups are bright and clear.
