Events: Presonus Riff to Release

Published on 01 June 2018

Up there with our favourite tech brands, Presonus' cutting-edge products have made themselves at home in studios across the world. With options ranging from entry-level kit to professional grade studio equipment, they really do have something for everyone and we've come to learn that their build quality and attention to detail is consistent no matter what piece of Presonus gear you pick up.

In order to showcase this, we're giving you the chance to not only experiment with some of their kit but also put it to the test. The world of home recording can be a frightening and daunting place, particularly if you're just getting started; but we plan to demystify the process by giving you the chance to master a whole range of tech, with experts on hand to give you guidance and advice.

In association with Presonus, we're very pleased to invite you to our Riff to Release events! These workshops are intended to provide you with the knowledge and tools required to record at home and will actually cover every step from dreaming up a riff, right through to building and creating a fully formed track that's ready to release. Intended towards guitarists and musicians who've struggled in the past to lay down their ideas, or even just those who'd like to take their recording up to the next level, this really is a fantastic opportunity to get schooled on home recording and Presonus!

We'll be joined in store by Presonus Product Specialist Lee Boylan and Guitarist, Composer, Mixer, Producer Niko Tsonev as they take you from the conception of a songwriting idea right through the production, mixing and mastering process, culminating in a digital release. This in-depth clinic will cover every element of the recording, mixing and production process within Presonus’s award-winning Digital Audio Workstation Studio One V4. As well as the production process, they will discuss the nut and bolts of how to set up and configure your DAW and audio interface.

But that's not all...

Following the clinic, there will be a Q&A with Sound on Sound editor Paul White where Paul will be offering advice on everything from acoustics to mic placement. A true recording expert who has loads of experience in the industry, this presents an invaluable chance to ask all of those questions that have been bugging you about your home setup. On top of this, attendees will receive a free copy of Studio One V4 Artist and will have exclusive access to deals on Presonus hardware and software on the day.

Come and join us, this might just be the missing link to finally finishing off the music you've been working on! Even if it isn't, it's most certainly the perfect chance to brush up on home recording and bag yourself a free DAW while you're at it. Reserve your space now to turn those forgotten riffs into your latest record!
