Digital Content Creator (Linwood)

Digital Content Creator

Location: Greater Glasgow (Linwood)

 

About the Role

This is an exciting time to join our marketing department as we expand the team to implement our ambitious marketing strategy. We are looking for a Creator to join the team and help us in the successful running of marketing campaigns and promotional activity.

Create

  • Create and curate engaging video content to be used across guitarguitar’s social media channels.
  • Pitch, shoot and edit concepts for video series designed to drive engagement across channels including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Twitter/X.
  • Shoot video content on site and on location, liaising with our stores, brands and artists.
  • Build monthly content plans to compliment our campaigns, driving growth and community engagement. 
  • Explore opportunities for brand development, and on new platforms. 
  • The ability to play guitar in the videos would be an advantage as the ideal candidate will have the skills to appear in, present, as well as create content. 

Monitor & Report

  • Analyse social media data to track performance and recommend improvement.
  • Identify the latest trends, hashtags, and topics of conversation.
  • Present analysis to the team, approaching content from a strategic and data driven point of view. 
  • Track competition to build audit reports on share of voice and brand performance.
  • Hit targets by monitoring performance and regularly making continual improvements.

We're Looking For Someone Who Is/Can

  • Record audio and video to a high standard, including mixing and mastering instruments and vocals.
  • Pair strategic thinking with a creative approach to content. 
  • Passionate and results driven.
  • Adaptable with strong solving problem skills.
  • A genuine guitar and music enthusiast. 
  • A collaborative team player with a willingness to get involved, develop new skills and be proactive in response to feedback.

 

You will need to have knowledge of the products we sell, and being a musician would give you a definite advantage. Experience working in a similar position is not necessary but would be an advantage. Working alongside our experienced in-house team of marketing professionals would be an excellent opportunity to develop and grow your marketing skills.

Working 8 hour shifts, based at our Central Support offices in Linwood, your working week would be 37.5 hours per week. Shoots may fall outside of regular office hours and we're looking for an enthusiastic creator who can capture these performances.

Web Content Assistant (Linwood)

Web Content Assistant

Job Description

Here at guitarguitar we are passionate about our online content and are looking to expand our team with the addition of a Web Content Assistant. We are looking for diligent, detail-oriented content creators to become key members of our web content team. You will be expected to work closely with our enthusiastic and friendly staff, liaise with internal departments, and communicate with external distribution companies. The end result should be an accurate, interesting product description accompanied by well-presented, industry-leading imagery.

Due to the specialist nature of this position, it is essential that you possess a strong knowledge of and familiarity with guitars and related equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manipulating/Editing and uploading images to our content system
  • Providing accurate product descriptions
  • Ensuring the overall accuracy of all products and supporting text
  • Producing new content and writing in an interesting and appealing manner


Experience and Skills

  • Have a working knowledge of Photoshop, HTML, and Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Sheets, etc.)
  • Have strong attention to detail
  • Be very methodical, analytical and able to prioritise your workload
  • Have the ability to write widely varying descriptions for very similar products
  • Be logical and able to get to the bottom of issues and resolve problems
  • Be a team player and a great communicator
  • Be capable of periods of prolonged concentration when inputting accurate data for listings
  • Have the ability to work collaboratively in a small team

Sales Staff (Epsom)

Location: Epsom

guitarguitar is looking to add a full-time member of staff to our team in Epsom.

As a member of our sales team, you will represent both guitarguitar, the UK’s biggest guitar retailer, and the legendary brands and manufacturers we partner with.

Essential to this role is an ability to sell, demonstrate products and excite and inspire the loyal customers who visit our stores and who make our business what it is.

You will be working directly under the supervision of our Store Management Team.

A successful candidate will:

  • Have an excellent understanding of guitars, musical and recording equipment.
  • Excel at demonstrating products to a good standard and always aim to inspire beginners and experienced musicians alike.
  • Be confident dealing with our customers face-to-face, on the telephone, via email, and across social media.
  • Be proactive in learning new products as and when they are released in order to keep up with an ever evolving market.
  • Be passionate about making guitarguitar an outstanding place to visit for all things music-related.
  • Take pride in finding great solutions for customers and working as part of a fantastic team.
