Manufacturer's ID: BLUE SKY

What we say:

At A Glance:

The original Strymon Reverb that turned heads when it first appeared, The Blue Sky is a simple palette of 3 Reverb modes into 3 different styles, with high and low tone options and the chance to save one ‘Favourite’ should the chance come up. As vast and beautiful as the actual sky on a clear Autumn day, The Strymon Blue Sky is you're no nonsense reverb partner for any situation.

Features We Love:

Clever Mode/Type Switching

My favourite feature of the Blue Sky is it’s intuitive Mode to Type switching. Fancy a nice Spring Reverb? Simply select ‘normal’ into ‘spring’ or if you want to mix it up, how about Strymon’s trademark ‘Shimmer’ octave reverb into a tight ‘Room’ type? Play about with it and see what cool stuff you can dream up!

Ease of Use

Sometimes a high end digital Reverb has some players running to the hills with fear of spending a few money nights with manual but not here thankfully. Strymon’s usual great design and layout have made the Blue Sky the perfect platform to achieve premium reverb sounds in seconds.

Supreme Build and Quality.

As per Strymon’s manifesto, the Blue Sky was one of the first on the roster and set the scene for rock solid construction, premium parts and a high end sound that other builders have tried to emulate since day one!

Highlights:

  • Flexible Reverb modes and selection.
  •  Bonehead easy to use with excellent sonic results in seconds.
  • Only the best parts go into a Strymon pedal and only the best sound comes out!

Overall Rating 4.9/5 (14 reviews)

I've owned a few reverb pedals and this is by far the best I've played. It has a wonderful variety of sounds and unlike some pedals it's extremely straightforward to use. And being a Strymon there's not a bad sound in it. Top quality.

Strymon pedals are very well made with sturdy enclosures and wonderfully smooth controls with excellent gradation. I also have Strymon Sunset overdrive, Flint tremolo and DiG delay. Those are 5 star boxes for me. To my ears the Blue Sky is a very good bit of kit - but on this occasion is it worth the extra L80 or so above reverb pedals around the L200 point? Ultimately that is for the individual's judgement. I am happy with the Blue Sky, it is just missing something that I can't put my finger on.

Best pedal I?ve bought!!!

Nadia S. - 9/5/2021

Lovely lush reverb. Haven't got to grips with all the possibilities yet but looks like it's a keeper. Haven't patched it into pedal board yet but on its own it runs completely quiet both in reverb and bypass. My girlfriend loved the shimmer mode. As others have said, it would have been nice to have more than one saved preset but I knew this when I bought it and there's always the big sky for all that. I just wanted a quality go to reverb. Yes it's pricey but I didn't want to opt for something inferior and keep thinking, oh I wish.....etc.

Outstanding reverb pedal.
