What we say:

The Landlord FX Banging Hangover is a three-mode Reverb pedal with quite a personality! Guitarists seem to prefer their reverbs to be either super-subtle or Grand Canyon obvious and the Banging Hangover happily gives a little of both.

Upon plugging in, we initially felt that the lower settings were a little too subtle but some careful tweaking of the Mix control brought us a fresh palette of highly usable reverbs. Adding some space and context to clean sounds is very rewarding with the Banging Hangover, as the effect complements your overall tone rather than dominating it.

Dialling the Reverb and Mix knobs up brings us into the realm of Post-Rock/Kevin Shields-type washes of ambience. Select your favourite fuzz pedal, put the Banging Hangover at the end of your FX chain and enjoy a very obvious, very ‘there’ reverb! Subtle it ain’t but fun it most certainly is! The length of the reverb tail is not necessarily the longest we’ve heard but the clear presence of the signal makes it a win regardless.

Guitarists looking for a low-cost reverb pedal should make this their number one choice. Even reverb aficionados should consider this for an additional slot on their board: for this price, it’s a stunning pedal.

Customer reviews

Overall Rating 4.8 (12 reviews)

Strong metal enclosure and positive feel to the footswitch like all Landlord FX pedals. I read a few reviews from people who said that the reverb effects were artificial sounding and they couldn't find a usable setting. It took me 2 minutes to find very usable settings with good renditions of room and spring technologies. I don't like plate reverb, but this pedal's emulation is good enough if I ever do need the mode.

For a first reverb pedal I was really unsure what to purchase so being able to trying out a low priced one really helped my decision making into purchasing the product! My pedal was really well priced and is working absolutely great ! It?s helped my creativity as a writer and been able to expand my own personal sound as a musician!

What a fantastic little pedal. I like my reverb setting very subtle and this hits the mark. But even for those that want a richer, fuller sound this wouldn?t be out of place either.

Three different reverbs with plenty of options of changing the levels. Nice and small and quality sturdy product.
