What we say:

E-II guitars are ESP’s top end Japanese factory-made instruments. ESP, masters of modern Hard Rock and Metal guitars, have produced this line in order offer a no-compromise level of design, hardware and build quality. E-II guitars are superbly made professional instruments for players at the top of their game.

The ‘M’ shape in ESP’s repertoire is their classic 80’s influenced Superstrat style. Slab bodied with a pointed headstock (stylishly reversed here), this type of guitar typifies Hard Rock, Metal and Shred styles from the heyday of Thrash and Hair Metal. In other words, this guitar rocks hard and looks great!

So, what do we have here? Underneath that fantastic Black Natural Fade finish lies a Mahogany body and a top of Buckeye Burl Maple. A 3 piece Maple neck runs through the entire instrument, making this a neck-through guitar. ESP are masters of this style: the fit and finish is gobsmacking, rivalling anything from any other maker.

24 Jumbo frets on a 12” radius Maple fingerboard provide the perfect surface to practice and employ advanced playing techniques. The reverse pointed headstock is finished in the same Black Natural Fade finish as the body.

This guitar is a hard-tail model. Not all shredders require or even want a whammy bar these days so this string-through Hipshot bridge is a high quality solution. Gotoh locking tuners continue the trend here for absolutely top drawer hardware.

The pickups are premium pieces indeed: handmade Bare Knuckle units made here in Britain. These are Aftermath Tyger models and are perfect for organic high-output tones that exude depth and detail. The sound and expression available from this combination of pickups, woods and neck build are quite staggering.

Guitarists who favour fast, expressive and highly beautiful instruments will want to check this ESP E-II M-II NT out at their earliest opportunity.
