What we say:
At A Glance
The Yamaha Revstar RSS20 in Black is another excellent addition to the Revstar family. Focusing on providing an excellent array of features without a hugely inflated price, the RSS20 offers excellent value for money, especially for what it has on offer. With a carbon reinforced neck, classic style, and an admirable pair of humbuckers, the RSS20 ticks all the boxes.
Features We Love:
Chambered Body
At the heart of the Revstar RSS20 is a chambered mahogany body with a maple top. This gives the guitar an excellent degree of resonance, lighter weight, and excellent balance when used with a strap, plus it has the classic benefit of a maple top. Basically, it is great for gigging and has the looks to back up its top sound!
Stainless Steel Frets
A premium feature that improves playability and durability, stainless steel frets are becoming a must-have for guitarists with a demanding schedule in need of a guitar that will go the distance. Needless to say, the RSS20 definitely fits that remit!
Tone Options
The pickups themselves are excellent and expanding on this further is the 5 position selector and the Focus Switch. It is phenomenal how much tonal variety you can get here from a 2 pickup guitar!
Who Is It For?
Guitarists who want a high-performance instrument without breaking the bank will find a lot on offer here. Its level of versatility is very impressive meaning it can easily suit multiple styles.
Highlights:
- An updated version of a much-loved model
- Lots of available sounds to choose from
- Comes with a Deluxe gig bag
Condition Report
Delamination marks on the bottom binding, near the strap button and some scrapes on the belly cut on the reverse. There are also some minor scrapes on the top.
