What we say:

At A Glance:

The Fender Player II Mustang Bass PJ 3 Colour Sunburst builds on the gateway Fender Player series, packing even more value into the iconic Mustang Bass design. Each element of the guitar has been refined to deliver the very best playing experience, whilst still capturing the essential elements that make it an authentic Fender bass.

Fender’s Mustang Bass is an instantly recognisable design and thanks to its shorter 30" scale length, delivers ultimate comfort to any player and an awesome vintage style warmth to your tone."

Features We Love:

Vintage Style Charm for the Modern Player

With its iconic looks and incredible tone, the Player II Mustang Bass captures all of the character of a vintage Fender bass. Yet, each element of the guitar has been refined to give the most fluid playing experience possible. From the comfortable neck with rolled fingerboard edges to the jumbo frets and upgraded hardware, the Player II Mustang Bass surpasses your expectations of what a Fender guitar should be.

Alnico V PJ Pickups

While the original Mustang bass was a student model with a modest split single coil pickup, the new Player II Mustang captures the best of Fender bass worlds with a PJ pickup configuration. With a Precision split coil in the middle position capturing the Mustang's natural warmth and the Jazz Bass pickup in the bridge position adding note clarity and cutting treble, it's easy to find a blend between the two that works for you. Fender have also used Alnico 5 magnets to deliver a slightly hotter than vintage output for more modern styles. Just turn back the volume a little to bring out a more retro tone. Simple and effective, in the classic manner it has always been!

An Incredible Neck

You're going to be blown away by how great this neck feels. Its "C" shaped profile feels substantial in your hand, but is never an obstruction as you work your way up the fingerboard, enhanced by its rolled edges, helping the neck fit even more snugly into your hand. Finally the Jumbo frets help to make each note sing, with even the most tricky licks becoming a breeze to play.
