The MDM1606 features a poplar burl top on a double-cutaway alder body bolted to a graphite reinforced roasted maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers and luminescent side dots. The headstock has a 3-by-3 tuner arrangement. Components include individually mounted MR5S bridges with an 18mm string spacing, a plastic nut, black hardware, and Ibanez Aero-light tuning machines.
