What we say:
At A Glance
The Ibanez Prestige AZ2204 takes a traditional design into new territory. Ibanez’s AZ range aims to give players the ultimate level of freedom: freedom of expression, freedom from expectation, and freedom to find their own voice. Taking some of the best parts of the RG, Sabre, and Road Core ranges and adding a wealth of new ideas, not to mention feedback from top players all over the world, the AZ (think: from A to Z!) allows you to forget everything and just play.
With an abundance of top quality specs such as stainless steel frets and an S-TECH WOOD Roasted Maple neck, it really does seem that Ibanez have thought of everything. This is pretty spectacular and offers exceptionally good value for money!
Features We Love:
S-Tech Wood Roasted Maple Fretboard
This special form of roasting treatment gives a high level of attack together with an overall articulated tone. The edge of the fretboard has also been crafted with a smooth curve for an excellent level of comfort and performance.
Seymour Duncan Hyperion Pickups
With moderate output and excellent clarity, this HSS set of Hyperion pickups provide excellent tonal versatility. They give a defined pick attack and a well balanced sound. Being able to switch between a humbucker and two single coils, you have an abundance of options available.
Dyna-MIX 9 Switching
The dyna-MIX 9 offers nine different tonal selections plus it can switch between humbucker and single coil modes using the mini switch. One mode is even able to achieve humbucker style sounds from the combination of the 2 single coils. With so many options you'll definitely be able to find the tone you are after.
Gotoh Magnum Lock Tuners
Top line Magnum Lock tuners from Gotoh provide an unbelievably high level of tuning accuracy and stability. They also have Height Adjustable Posts which can be used for tension adjustment for each individual string.
Who Is It For?
The player who values versatility and quality, this Ibanez AZ is packed with premium quality from hardware to workmanship to deliver the best in sound and playability.
