About Jackson Guitars
Jackson Guitars originated from Charvel's guitar repair, which Grover Jackson obtained part ownership of before buying out Wayne Charvel of Charvel guitars. When Randy Rhoads came to get a custom guitar built it became the first to bear the Jackson name on the headstock. Jackson guitars are one of the top names in heavy rock and metal. They even played their part in the hair metal and shred scenes in the 1980s.
A Jackson guitar is synonymous with hard rock and metal, and they make a wide range of high performance instruments at different price points, the JS series are accessible as a first instrument, and the X Series offers great value for money for gigging musicians and the American and MJ series offering premium models used by world famous musicians.
Jackson's distinctive electric guitar designs are largely designed for metal guitarists which means they have the features you want for playing metal like slim necks, high output pickups, and locking trem systems. Of course the other important thing with metal guitars are the shapes! Jackson have many classics like the Dinky, King V, Warrior, Kelly, Rhoads, X Series, Soloist and more are all available in a wide variety of bold colours, including more unusual choices such as purple and green.
Many high profile guitarists use Jackson and have signature models which we stock. They also produce guitars designed specifically for younger players, such as the Minion. For the serious metal player, Jackson will have you covered!
