Roland EV-5 Expression Pedal

The trusty EV-5 expression pedal will be a familiar sight to a great many guitar players. Back in the day it was mostly used for controlling certain parameters on keyboards but such is the range of devices Roland makes these days, there is almost no end to the possible jobs in which the humble EV-5 can be gainfully employed.

It's made of tough plastic and has a good feel underfoot: the treadle isn't too light so the pedal action has a little positive resistance there which is great. There is also a minimum volume level you can set if you want the pedal to go between two values that are not extreme opposites (in other words, it can be quite handy to set the minimum at 50 or 60% and use the 30% life as a nice easy boost for special moments).
